The SATGEO team was present at the General Assembly 2025 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU)

Members of the PoliMi SatGeo team attended the “EGU General Assembly 2025” in Vienna (Austria), presenting the results of our work on the CARIOQA-PMP project with a poster “CARIOQA-PMP: preliminary results of gravity field recovery simulations for the pathfinder mission by the space-wise approach” by L. Rossi, M. Reguzzoni, A. M. Eslami, K. Batsukh, F. Migliaccio in session G4.2 Modern Concepts for Ground and Space Observations of the Earth Gravity Field. It was on display on Thursday, 1 May, from 14:00 to 18:00 in Hall X1.

Moreover, Prof. Reguzzoni was a contributor to oral presentation “Using DOIs for Geodesy – best practices and ongoing discussions” by Kirsten Elger and the GGOS Committee on DOIs for Geodetic Data Sets in session G2.3 GGOS: Fostering collaboration in geodesy to address challenges for science and society (Wed, 30 April, in Room 0.96/97).

The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. This year it welcomed 20,984 registered attendees, of which 18,646 made their way to Vienna from 120 countries and 2,338 joined online from 104 countries. It was a great success with 18,934 presentations given in 1,102 sessions. Thereby, 56% of the abstracts were identified as contributions from Early Career Scientists (ECS).
